Well, I felt so welcomed at the Create with Connie and Mary challenge last week that I decided to enter another challenge this week!
This week's challenge is to create a card with lucky limeade, rich razzleberry and tangerine tango.
What lovely fall colours! As Canadian thanksgiving is a few weeks away, this theme sprang to mind. I hopped down to the basement crafting area, and came up with this layout. I love the simplicity of the geometric shapes against each other. And do I ever love brads - popping out some accent colour.
Thanks for looking, and for all the friends at Create with Connie and Mary - thanks for the inspiration and camaraderie! If you're ever on Vancouver Island... come on by!

Babies!
Babies, babies, everywhere!
Four different babies have blessed the lives of friends this summer, and I've been meaning to do some baby themed cards. And I also wanted to enter some challenges, to get my mojo running. So... I'm entering Create with Connie and Mary, Simply Stampin' Challenge and Stampin Royalty with this card.
I love the Storybook Friends images... they remind me of images I would see in my mom's elementary school primers (which my Mormor preserved).
Thanks for looking!

First swap - kid's birthday card/slider card
For my first swap, I've made 8 of the same kid's birthday card. It's a slider card - you pull on the ribbon and the cloud comes out from behind the birdie. It says "a little birdie told me..." and "it's your birthday". It took me a while to come up with the design, and then it was rather fussy putting all the elements together. I'm really happy with the result though, and feel it would be ok for a boy or a girl and for many different ages/stages. Now... to put them in the mail and wait to see the cards that come back from the other stampers! Fun!!!

A card for a couple who can't be married in other places.
The crystals effects turned the real red ink into hot pink!

Congrats to Jessa and Dre - PPA131 and SR115
My bestie, Jessa, just got a new home. Her first HOUSE. It's big news! I want to send a handmade card (shhh...), and I got inspired by two challenges this week - PPA 131 and Stampin Royalty 115. I love how these challenges stretch me to find different expressions of my sense of style. So, without further ado... here it is....
And before I finish - a big shout out to my husband, Todd, who is quite the photographer - he has a light tent and I think the quality of my card photos just sky rocketed!!

PPA sketch challenge
PPA has a lovely sketch challenge, and here is my card. It was made for a little girl's first birthday. I have coveted the retired slit punch, and don't have it :( ... it would have been perfect for this design. I made the design my own by creating a side accent of punched out boho blossoms on the everyday enchantment ribbon. I also embellished the ribbon on the present with dazzling diamonds. The background is stamped in pool party and then embossed with a matching folder (from hero arts). Enjoy! TFL!

PPA red challenge
Paper crafting has been a dominant part of my free time for the past few months. I've finally decided to jump into a challenge, and post a creation! I love the design team at PPA, and have been "lurking" on their site for a while. Here's my first challenge creation...
